  Dancing peacocks embroidered wall art. Two peacocks expertly hand embroidered on black velvet by skilled master artisans in the zardozi tradition, using silk, metallic threads and semi precious stones.
  
  The body of the birds and the tree branches are realistically rendered in 3D by a labor intensive technique of embroidering over layers and layers of underlying floss. Very few embroiderers are accomplished in this specialized technique.
  
  Look at their natural poses, their inquisitive expressions, the tilt of their heads. Silk is particularly suited to convey the iridescence of peacock feathers. You instinctively find yourself reaching out and wanting to ruffle their feathers.
  
  Wall mount it, or use it as a unique lid on a memory box or photo album or wedding album.
  
  Zardozi means "gold thread" . It is an elaborate multidimensional embroidery art form using gold and silver threads and genuine precious and semi precious stones to create an opulent and dazzling 3D effect. Zardozi was introduced into India in the early 16th century and was used primarily to adorn the robes and household items of the royal families. Now you too can own a piece of art once reserved only for royalty!
