  Gorgeous handcrafted Lakshmi earrings, goddess of wealth, who brings you fortune. She sits on a lotus flower.
  
  In Indian art Lakshmii is portrayed as sitting like a yogi on a lotus flower pedestal. Her four arms are symbolic of the four goals of humanity that are considered good in Hinduism - dharma (pursuit of ethical, moral life), artha (pursuit of wealth, means of life), kama (pursuit of love, emotional fulfillment) and moksha (pursuit of self-knowledge, liberation). She is holding a lotus flower. The lotus flower symbolizes purity. It can grow in clean or dirty water so it symbolizes the purity despite one's surrounding conditions. She is often shown with either an owl or flanking elephants. Elephants signify work, activity and strength.
