The inner row features lotus flowers.
The middle row features amulets depicting the revered Seven Mothers, known in Hindu as Sapta Matrikas. These seven mother goddesses are each a shakti, or female counterpart, of a god. They are always depicted together: Brahmani, Vaishnavi, Maheshvari, Indrani, Kaumari, Varahi, and Chamunda or Narasimhi. They may have originated from the seven stars of the Pleiades constellation. Often an eight goddess is included, especially in Nepal. Hence the 8 lines on the amulet. Matrikas are goddesses of the battlefield.
The outer row features a double spiral. The spiral is one of the oldest symbols used by mankind. It symbolizes a search for the center. Double spiral signifies balance.

Silver plated jewelry has a very thin coating of silver over other metals. It can be intentionally blackened in order to bring out the detail of the design. Our quality silver plated jewelry is an excellent and durable option for everyday wear. And even if it tarnishes over time, it can easily be polished back to a full shine. Please wipe with a soft cloth prior to each use.
