  Stunning marble plate inlaid with semi precious stones. Collectible pietra dura art. This is the first in our series of historic marble inlay plates, copies of museum pieces, the original marble plate is in the famous Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur, India, one of the oldest museums in Rajasthan. On white marble slab inlaid with genuine semi precious stones - carnelian, lapis lazuli, onyx, mother of pearl in pietra dura fashion. Each tiny stone piece is individually hand carved, hand shaped, and inlaid with meticulous care, the work of a master artisan. This piece can be done only by the most experienced and skilled artisans due to the complexity of the design and the curved working surfaces of the marble.
  
  This is a shallow bowl, not a plate, which increases its collectability. It is 12 inches in diameter, with gorgeous scalloped sides and a recessed center, the delicate flowers and vines covering the entire surface. Exotic lilies, jasmine and scrolling vines. Not only is the border scalloped, but is undulating in and out.
  
  Proudly display it in your entranceway, in a spot of honor in your dining room, butler's pantry, or display case. Stunning in a boardroom or business entryway.
  
  Distinctive and eye-catching, this piece was chosen as an inspiration for a garden design collaboration between the Piramal Group and landscape architect Sarah Eberle for the first Indian garden to be featured at the Chelsea Flower show. The large scale adaptation of this design won the Silver Gilt medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2018, as published in Architectural Digest India, May 16, 2018.
